I am the receptionist here at ETCA. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I spent most of my formative years in Memphis, Tennessee. My family moved there in the middle of my fourth grade year. I went to a private Christian school, Harding Academy of Memphis. Then I continued my education at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and graduated in 1985 with a BBA in Marketing.
My dad was a Church of Christ preacher and while in college, my family moved to Henderson, Texas to be nearer family. This is where I met Don Craig. We married in 1989. For the majority of our married years, we have lived in Tyler. We did live in Longview for about 1 1/2 years. We have attended Shiloh Road Church of Christ for the past 16 years. Both Don and I are involved in our children’s program, “Shiloh Souldiers”, and I also teach the toddlers during the summer months.
Don and I have two children that attend ETCA. Courtney has been at ETCA since she was nine weeks old! She was in the last infant class to come through ETCA. She will be in the eighth grade in the fall of 2008 and is involved in all ETCA sports as well as Tyler soccer. Cole has attended ETCA since he was two years old and will be in the fourth grade this fall. He plays baseball and basketball; however, baseball is his favorite sport.
We have been a part of the ETCA family for 12 years and the last 10 years I have been an employee. I began my tenure as the school’s first Admissions director. For the last five years, I have been blessed to be the receptionist for the school. This position has allowed me to be home with my children during the summer months. I also thoroughly enjoy the contact with the students, parents and teachers in my position. These relationships that I cultivate richly bless my life.
