Spiritual Life

Every Student Studies the Bible at ETCA

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and
in favor with God and men.
Luke 2:52

Our primary goal at East Texas Christian Academy is to create a learning environment where students can grow and develop as Jesus did.

ACADEMICS

Every student studies the Bible at ETCA.

  • In addition to our curriculum, each grade level has a bible class.
  • Secondary students meet for chapel everyday and elementary students meet twice a week.
  • Chapel is an encouraging time of praise and worship where the Bible is taught and Character Counts is emphasized.

We teach the Bible as God’s Word and stand alongside you, the parent, to help you develop your child’s faith.

CHARACTER

Character is who we are
when no one but God is watching.

At East Texas Christian Academy, Character Counts!
We teach the six pillars of character identified by the Josephson Institute.

  • Trustworthiness
  • Fairness
  • Respect
  • Caring
  • Responsibility
  • Citizenship

We emphasize these six pillars in all that we do. We have a Pillar of the Month, which is reinforced by a Character Word of the Week.

EXCELLENCE

And now I will show you the most excellent way.
 I Corinthians 12:31b

These words precede one of the most famous chapters in the Bible. I Corinthians 13 is the chapter that tells us about LOVE.

Several opportunities are provided for students to learn and show LOVE.

  • High school students are required to complete a minimum of 15 hours of community service per year as a prerequisite for promotion and graduation.
  • Community outreach projects, retreats and mission trips offer additional opportunities to bless others.

All men will know that you are my disciple
if you love one another.
John 13:35
