Our primary goal at East Texas Christian Academy is to create a learning environment where students can grow and develop as Jesus did.

Academics

Every student studies the Bible at ETCA.

All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Character is who we are when
no one but God is watching.

At East Texas Christian Academy Character Counts! We teach the six pillars of character identified by the Josephson Institute.

We emphasize these six pillars in all that we do. We have a Pillar of the Month which is reinforced by a Character Word of the Week.

1 Corinthians 12:31b

These words precede one of the most famous chapters in the Bible. 1 Corinthians 13 is the chapter that tells us about LOVE.

We try to teach LOVE in several ways.

• We meet for chapel twice each week. Chapel is an informal time of praise and worship.

• High school students are required to complete 15 hours of community service per year as a prerequisite for promotion and graduation.

• Community Outreach Projects, Retreats, and Mission Trips offer additional opportunities to bless others.
