Qualifications for Admission To be considered for admission to East Texas Christian Academy, the student needs to be: • able to re-enroll in the school last attended. • on or above grade level academically. • successful without curriculum modifications. • free of suspensions or expulsion for the previous school year Step 1. Turn in Preschool Application and payment of $50 Application Fee Step 2. Initial Enrollment Paperwork • (2) Preschool Evaluation Forms from principal and/or teachers • Copy of Social Security Card and Birth Certificate • Signed Health-Care Professional’s Statement (on back of Application) and Current Immunization Record. Visit with the Preschool Admissions Committee All records and information must have been received. • Preschool Director schedules time for the visit. • Preschool Admissions Committee visits with student and parents. • The Preschool Admissions Committee will make a decision following the interview and may “Accept” or “Decline.” • Admissions Director notifies parent of Preschool Admissions Committee’s decision. Step 5. Enrollment Visit and Final Paperwork (Including Financial) • Parents will be contacted by the Business Manager to schedule a meeting time to pay Registration fee and discuss tuition payment arrangements. Step 6. First Day of School The following must be complete BEFORE the student may begin school: • Completion of ALL information sheets: Public Release of Information Form, Enrollment Record, Emergency Information Card, Probation Letter, Student Handbook Acknowledgement Form, and Parents’ Guide to Day Care Acknowledgement Form. • New students will be on behavioral probation for their first 30 days at ETCA.
