Art Contest

An East Texas Christian Academy freshman art student is headed to competition at the state level. In February, three ETCA art students participated and placed in the visual art scholastic event or vase at Whitehouse high school.  ETCA is in region 7, and region 7 “vase” is the second largest in the state of Texas.

The ratings ranged from 1 to 4, with 4 being the highest. Will Hayes (Left), received a 3 on one drawing, and on his second, got a 4.  He’s headed to state competition in San Marcos April 27-28th!  Other ETCA art students, (Left to Right) Carmen Radford and Stephen Moore both received a 3 at the regional competition.



Middle school vase for region 7 was recently held at Moore middle school.  Four ETCA students competed:  (Left to Right) Corbin Acker,Jack Hayes, Ainslee Mason and Emilee Minor .

All the students received a four –the highest rating for the district.  Emilee Minor received a platinum medal for winning "area" which is the highest rating for the region.
