Torchbearer Scholarship Society $250+ The Torchbearer Scholarship Society is designed specifically for individuals and corporations who wish to support the funding available for scholarship/tuition assistance – helping those families whose desire for Christian education outstrips their ability to afford it. By partnering with us in this society, members restrict their gift(s) for scholarship assistance to provide the “torch” that will light a student’s path to the future.If you are interested in learning more. Order of the Flame $100 – 499 This membership club provides the spark to the living flame of knowledge and spirituality in ETCA’s logo. Contributions by these vital supporters help recognize the character and value-centered education that ETCA has been providing for nearly 30 years in the East Texas community. President’s Circle $500+ The President’s Circle is designed for those who wish to take a leading role in support of excellence at ETCA by providing continuing support for all of ETCA’s programs, primarily through the Annual Fund. Gifts at the President’s Circle level ($500 or more) make a significant impact on ETCA.This support helps enhance and maintain the educational experience for our students. Some of these needs include funding of special Spiritual Life programs, faculty training and support, special project funding, Core Curriculum support, and campus improvements. President’s Circle members have the opportunity to impact ETCA’s future well beyond the scope of their contribution.Membership is granted to those individuals, corporations and foundations who contribute $500 or more during the fiscal year ending August 31. Heritage Society Bequests & Endowments The Heritage Society recognizes alumni and friends who have included East Texas Christian Academy in their estate plans or have made a gift(s) toward ETCA’s endowment. Estate planning and planned giving options offer tremendous benefits to donors while making generous gifts possible. For those of you who have already included ETCA in your estate plans – thank you! Please let us know of your generous gift so we may include your name in the Heritage Society Honor Roll listing and personally thank you.Simply put, the “endowment” is ETCA’s long-term savings account. The accumulated capital gains then become the source of return that allows us to enhance and optimize our programs. Most importantly, only a portion of the interest earned annually from the endowment is spent in order to avoid erosion of the corpus and to protect and increase the principle investment. Donors may choose to establish an endowed fund to support their favorite academic program, scholarship for students, support for teaching and Spiritual Life and for general purposes. Memorial/Honorary There are special times when a gift made in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone special to you is appropriate. In the case of a memorial gift, ETCA is committed to restricting your gift to the area you specify. This can be a designated gift, for example, toward the arts, sciences, athletics, or a student scholarship. The surviving family members will receive a prompt and heart-felt letter from ETCA acknowledging your “generous gift” in memory of their loved one. You will receive a separate acknowledgment stating the value of your gift for your records. Should you desire to honor a current student or a living relative or family member through a gift, it will be handled in the same manner with prompt notification of your gift to the honoree acknowledging your “generous gift.” A separate acknowledgment stating the exact amount of your gift along with receipt will be sent to you for your records. Many individuals exercise these Memorial/Honorary gifts throughout the year and during the holidays as a way to honor and memorialize their loved ones and make an impact at ETCA at the same time.
